This is a Jacobi Carbons 1 Cu Ft bag of coconut shell granular activated carbon.
Coconut shell activated carbon offers a high surface area and an extensive micro-porous structure, which makes it an exceptional absorbent of molecules that are more difficult to remove. Furthermore, these coconut shell activated carbons are beautiful for water and critical air applications, as well as point-of-use water filters and respirators.
AquaSorb HS is an acid-washed, high-purity, high-activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation from a sustainable raw material source. It is produced for use in ultra-pure water treatment systems requiring low conductivity and exceptionally high purity. This activated carbon is also suitable for removing heavy hydrocarbons from recovered condensate. The acid washing process removes soluble silica from the activated carbon matrix to prevent leaching into the condensate.
